The OTA has updated its DC Rental Housing Legislation Tracking Chart for the current Council Period 25 (2023-2024). The Chart is a quick reference tool for rental housing legislation introduced at the DC Council in those calendar years. For each bill, the Chart shows date of introduction, hearing, Committee markup, Council votes, effective date, and other key dates; the committee(s) to which it was referred; a short description of the bill; and more. The Chart also includes a link in the first column to the relevant page on the DC Council’s legislative database (LIMS). There you will find links to the text of the bill as introduced and any subsequent versions. The color coding reflects which stage of the legislative process the bill is in, as of the Chart's revision date. The color coding key and committee abbreviations are found at the top. The Chart will be updated periodically.
