The Office of the Tenant Advocates maintains a list of active tenant associations in the District of Columbia. It can be a challenge to prepare an active list because some tenant associations are unincorporated. Other tenant associations are removed from the list of active tenant associations maintained by the Corporation Division of the Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs because their status has bene revoked for noncompliance or they have dissolved. Therefore, we must rely on the tenant and tenant advocacy communities to assist us identifying associations.
If your association (whether incorporated or unincorporated) or resident council want to be included in our master list that will be posted on our website and updated regularly you need to complete tenant association information form. This form is not fillable online. You may complete the form and mail it or drop it in person to our office located in Suite 300N of the Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. You can also email it as an attachment to [email protected] or to [email protected]. The final option is to fax it to (202) 719-6586.
