Chief Tenant Advocate Johanna Shreve testified at her confirmation hearing today before the DC Council’s Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs, chaired by Councilmember Yvette Alexander.  About a half dozen District residents also testified in strong support of the confirmation resolution (PR 19-453).  If the resolution is approved by the Council, Ms. Shreve will serve as the District’s Chief Tenant Advocate for another three-year term.  You may still submit testimony regarding Ms. Shreve’s nomination to the Committee’s Legislative Counsel, Melanie Williamson, at [email protected], through Wednesday, January 25, 2012.  To read Ms. Shreve’s prepared remarks, please click here.
