President's Proposed Budget Takes Aim at Homelessness

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Earlier this month, President Obama released his FY 2017 budget which invests heavily in ending homelessness.  $88 million would be set aside for housing vouchers, permanent housing, and rapid rehousing assistance.  Additionally, $11 billion would be requested over a 10-year period.  The Administration’s request still has to be approved by Congress.  For more information please visit the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) website at nlihc.org/article/fy17-request-goes-bold-end-family-homelessness.
